Characteristics
The homestead represents a middle-sized Kopanice farm. the homestead consists of a double-room log-house comprising of a room and a cowshed, and a near barn. The buildings were constructed in the 19th century.
Its owners grew especially crops (cereals and potatoes) for their own consumption. They earned money by breeding and sale of beef cattle.
the homestead was built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The fi rst documented owner was Ondřej Hodulík whose followers resided in the house in the course of the whole 19th century. The house and the farm were “refurbished” by František Mikulinec. Along with him, there lived his brother with his family in the house so the number of the occupiers reached even ten persons. In 1968 he sold the building to Institute of folk culture.
